A warm welcome
awaits you at Rockhaven which is in the North Yorkshire Moors National
Park between Robin Hoods Bay and Scarborough with easy access to
the city of York.
Rockhaven is
a Victorian Country House that is situated in two acres of grounds
with fields beyond and sea views, we have a summer house for guests
to use and soak up this peaceful location. This is especially nice
if you have been walking the Cleveland Way (10 mins away) or have
been cycling along the disused railway or the more strenuous paths
in Dalby Forest which is close by. (Cycle hire available + lockable
bike storage)
We are an ideal
base to enjoy all the surrounding area has to offer whether that
be for a days Golfing @ £35 per day midweek £40 at the
weekend this can be booked for you, or to take in a concert in Dalby
forest or visit lots of beautiful historic country houses including
Castle Howard.
Scarborough
is a 10 minute journey by car, alternatively the bus into town stops
at our gate, There are Museums, Theatres, shops, Cricket festivals,
the Beach, Olivers Mount which is the famous Motor Cycle Circuit
and home to the Gold Cup festival of Speed, vintage car rallies
are also held here.
There are three
delightful en-suite rooms, all are tastefully furnished with co-ordinating
soft furnishings, starched bed linen, comfortable beds and pure
egyptian cotton towels.
There is a comfortable
lounge / diner for guests and its the perfect spot to enjoy a glass
of wine and a good book (library available) by the roaring log fire
in winter.

within the grounds, radio/alarms, tea & coffee making facilities,
ironing and laundry facilities available on request, colour tv,
library, picnics available at £6.50 per person, we also have
a play / recreational area with childrens swings and where they
can play Badminton, Cricket or Football etc...

Whitby
is 14 miles away which is famous for its Abbey and Parish
Church and Captain Cooks Memorial Museum which is on the Jurrasic
coast and is particularly exciting to those with an interest
in Geology, Fossils, Jet or Ammonite scouting.
Also try
a visit to Goathland which is Heartbeat Country, where you
can ride on the Steam Railway and view the glorious Moors.
